Cometh the hour Cometh the two teams who have
prevail through the heat and the cold of this first ever round robin Cricket
World Cup 2019 to make it to the Finals. The stage is set for the Final of this
mega show piece event, and who else can be a better host than the famous Lord's
Cricket Ground. The Mecca of Cricket is going to host the Final of the CWC2019
between New Zealand and England. One cannot ask for a better Sunday than this.

Eoin Morgan vs Kane Williamson, battle of supremacy. |
 |
Battle to watch out, Boult against Roy. |
It is always going to be a treat to watch the finals
in Lords. The sight of Kapil Dev lifting the World Cup of 1983 in Lords Balcony
is always mesmerizing for every cricket fans. Till now Lords has hosted four
Cricket World cup finals including the first three edition and then in 1999.
Out those four finals, we have got three new world champions in West Indies,
India and Australia. And yet again, whoever is going to lift the trophy this
time, we are going to see a new world champion as both of these teams have made
it to the finals before but have never ever won the prestigious title. England
have made it to the finals almost after 27 years. They last played a world cup
final way back in 1992 up against the then champions Pakistan at Melbourne
Cricket Ground, Australia. New Zealand on the other hand have yet again made it
into the World Cup Finals. They were the runners up in the previous edition of
CWC which they had hosted along with Australia.
New Zealand road to the final and team Preview:
 |
New Zealand team will leave no stone unturned today. |
 |
Kane Williamson will be the key for the Kiwi’s. |
New Zealand started their world cup 2019 campaign on
a very high note. During the first half of the league stages they were the team
to beat alongside India. They looked invincible during the first half of the
league stages as they managed to remain on top of the points table. This was
mostly because they played the teams from the bottom in the ODI rankings. Their
temperament got tested when they enter into the second half of the league stage
where they had to play with the top four teams. They loose three back to back
games before qualifying into the semifinals virtue of their better net run rate
than Pakistan who were also stuck on the same points. Once it looked like that
they will fail to make it to the top four, but they must be very thankfull to
West Indies who thrashed Pakistan in their opening encounter by a huge margin
which cost Pakistan towards the later half. Their tumbling start in the
semifinal dented their chances against India at Manchester, but the experience of
Kane Williamson and Ross Taylor who was playing his last world cup came to
their rescue. The duo stitched a healthy partnership on a wicket which was
getting slower and slower as the match progressed. And after that it was left
upto their bowlers who have been far better than their batsman when it comes to
execute their plans.

Taylor and Williamson, huge role to play today.
|
 |
Trent Boult and Lockie Ferguson. |
New Zealand might have made it into the finals but
their top order is going to be a cause of concerns as their leading run scorer
from the last edition Martin Guptil has failed miserably this year. Their
skipper has been in some form and have came to rescue his team on more than one
occassion. Again they will be heavily dependent on their middle order to score
for them. Jimmy Nesham has done quite well both with the bat and ball, scoring
some useful runs down the order and bowling in the middle overs. New Zeland
have bowled well so far in this tournament and again the onus will be on the
troika of Lockie Ferguson, Matt Henry and Trent Boult to pick up early wickets.
England road to the final and team Preview:

Finals. |
England have always been the favourites because of
the brand of cricket which they have of late has been of top class. They have a
player for every occasion and they have performed well when it mattered the
most. They too started their campaign on high but got a bit shaky in the middle
stage of the league, where they loose to Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Australia.
They journey too have been a tumbling one. Once they looked to be on the verge
of getting eliminated, where every game was a knockout for them. But it they
lifted their game from there on and never looked back. They thrashed their arch-rivals
Australia in semis convincingly.

Can England make it at the home of Cricket. |
 |
Morgan and Root, the architect. |
They do not seems to have any issues as such going
into the final, as they have ticked all thier boxes. Their opening combination
of Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow has been in the form of their life. Followed by
Joe Root and Eoin Morgan batting looks to be in sublime form. And not to forget
that they bat deep, if you think you pick up early wickets and get through
their batting line up then you have to exceptional in whatever you do. The
likes Jos buttler, Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes form their most reliable lower
middle order.
 |
Wood and Archer will lead the pace attack. |
It has never been one dimensional when it comes to
England. It has not always been their batsman who have won games for them, they
also possess some shear pace and swing in their armoury which can tear apart
any batting line up. The likes of Jofra Archer, Mark Wood and Liam Plunkett
will surely going to ask questions from the Kiwi batters upfront.
